Who is DRUM?

DRUM Studios is a digital media agency who creates sustainable digital media for everyone. Founded in 2006, their mission is to craft accessible and sustainable user experience, by overcoming barriers and inequality, for brands wishing to lead the way.

They create websites, Apps, videos and animations, marketing collateral and audit sites accessibility and run workshops for design students and marketing departments to help them feel more empowered.

DRUM’s approach to accessibility is to look beyond compliance and to think about it more empathetically, after all empathy and accessibility are so highly interconnected. They believe empathy is essential to creating truly accessible designs and experiences. Without empathy, companies are just focusing on compliance for their own brand’s personal gain. When you look beyond compliance and you instead wish for all your customers to have the same equal experience, you have human empathy and only then, will you truly become accessible.

“DRUMs values are firmly rooted in inclusivity and sustainability so joining Includability seemed like an obvious choice to bolster our knowledge on how to make DRUM even more inclusive and a mentally healthy workplace where everyone can bring their authentic selves and can thrive and be happy. Includability will help us to assess what we are doing well and where we can grow. We look forward to spreading the word on the importance of digital accessibility and sustainability.” – Kaye Moors, Managing Director at DRUM.
