Why did Includability become a B1G1 member?

We at Includability wanted to a B1G1 member because we wanted to Embed Social Good into our business.

What is B1G1?

B1G1 (Buy 1 Give 1) is a simple and intuitive philanthropy platform is an easy and seamless way of keeping track of our giving and our impact to any of the 500+high impact projects. And, perhaps most importantly, B1G1 lets us make making an impact an integral part of what we do as business.

Since forming in 2007, B1G1 has generated over 290 million giving impacts over the years, supporting over 2,700 projects which each project listed on B1G1 contributing to one or more SDGs.

The platform gives us a breakdown of the specific projects that have benefited from our donations, what our impacts have been to those projects, and how they correspond to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)impacts, giving us greater measurement, accuracy, transparency of our social responsibility reporting.

Is B1G1 tied to the UN SDGS?

In 2015, world leaders convened to adopt the 17 SDGs detailing the global community’s next step in ending poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and tackling climate change for the next 15 years.

The SDGs are such an integral part of our business, especially Goal 5: Gender Equality and Goal 8: Decent work & Economic Growth, but B1G1 allows us to impact so many of other goals in one giving bundle where it would otherwise take many charitable donations to achieve the same impact level.

Why Support B1G1 over other philanthropic businesses?

For every monthly Employer Support Group we routinely host –we give all of our attendees the opportunity to support one of three fantastic projects through B1G1. As a previous example, from our April 2022 Group - we were able to provide 365 days of access of clean drinking water to communities in need in Vietnam.

As each impact to a cause or project is measurable, trackable and traceable. It is inspiring our community to give to projects using B1G1. The choice of impact is theirs and it allows us to connect with more members who like to support different causes and allows us to reach more people who are not as involved in charitable donations as we can give in their honour at our Employer Support Groups and they are fully aware of the impact their consent brings.

We joined more than 2500+ businesses around the world on a mission to create a world full of giving. It’s not just a membership; it’s our commitment to become a Business for Good.

We want to inspire our members and the wider community to be part of the change we are supporting. With unique tools and resources to track your B1G1 impacts, we can share the joy of giving, the impacts we created, and Force For Good spirit of our business within our team, and our community.

At Includability we have supported projects through B1G1 that have impacted every one of the seventeen UN SDGs.

Includability – The Home of Inclusive Employers will proudly continue to support B1G1 and encourage others in our community to support the causes they champion and continue to support causes in their honour through social media events and give members a choice of project to support at our Employer Support Groups.

We believe their business model and philanthropic endeavour creates value toward the UN SDGs. B1G1 have greater ambitions to create millions more giving impacts that will positively impact the SDGs. With greater action required to keep the 2030 target on track, our team and our wider community will continue to support B1G1 and the their impacts on the SDGs.
