Our wonderful Includability Ambassador Tate Smith has launched his own consultancy service after years of joining Equality Leaders on a freelance basis.
Tate is offering speaking engagements focussing on his lived experience as a trans man, policy frameworks for businesses to better support trans employees, and consulting to media companies as to how they portray trans people in advertising or media content.
“Trans inclusion in the workplace has been my passion throughout my transition and I want to make sure businesses are a safe place for trans people through policy and education. Tate redrafting Clifford Chance's 2019 trans policy and advocating for top surgery to be covered under their private medical insurance provider, I've continued to deliver speaking engagements to numerous corporates and advise them on creating their own transitioning at work policies as well as considering their trans employees in maternity, menopause and family leave policies.
He is also a trans activist who took part in a protest at Downing Street organised by London Trans Pride when the government announced the blocking of Scotland’s GRR bill in early 2023.
