Includability is delighted to welcome Sipsmith as an Includability Committed Employer for 2022.
Sipsmith has successfully completed an initial 5 Star Verification Process in which they have committed to take the journey toward authentic inclusion by integrating fairness into their company culture and into each stage of their recruitment process by making commitments in the fields of sustainability, mental health, wellbeing, talent management, and diversity and inclusion.
The process was independently conducted by Includability Official Partners; Prosperah, Outliers Wellbeing, Flex Wellbeing, Unleashed, and Mental Health Charter CIC to ensure practices align with established definitions of an ‘Inclusive Workplace’.
Successfully completing the Includability 5 Star Verification Process for Includability Committed Employers (or the 6 Star Verification Process for Includability Committed Recruitment Agencies) immediately gives Sipsmith access to a growing community network of purpose-led organisations. Displaying our Includability Committed Employer or Includability Committed Recruitment Agency badge signifies to audiences and jobseekers that the holder is committed to undertaking steps to better themselves through education and collaboration. In a values-driven market, Includability Committed Employers enjoy a wider range of talent from our accreditation.
Sipsmith began in 2009, in a tiny workshop in London. Founders, Sam, Fairfax and Jared had an unwavering belief in things well made. Their mission was simple - to bring a hand-crafted London Dry Gin of uncompromising quality and character back to the city where it first earned its name.
Sipsmith became B Corp Certified in 2021, they joined the community that uses business as a force for good to commit to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, setting out to benefit all communities, their people and the planet.
The spirit producer put their people at the heart of their business. They deploy wellbeing initiatives to help with their employees mental and financial wellbeing. They enable access to support networks including with financial advisors to help their team feel supported. Meditation sessions are also available and a number of their management team are being trained in mental health awareness thanks to our Verification Partners, the Mental Health Charter.
Thrilled to achieve Includability Committed Employer status; Jessica Simpson, People and Culture Advisor at Sipsmith said, “It was great to go through the verification process through Includability to reflect on what we as a company and team have accomplished over the last few years and the commitments we are making in becoming a more inclusive employer. The process also challenged us to evaluate the areas that we can improve and focus on, as we know we still have a way to go on this journey. We are excited to be partnering up with Includability to learn and share knowledge from other likeminded businesses that are also committed to providing an inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work.”
Includability is a platform centred around community. It has been developed to raise expectation, increase employer accountability, and create a new standard for what the recruitment sector should deliver through engagement, collaboration and regularly sharing best practice.
Includability provides a job board to all Includability Committed Employers and Official Partners. We aim to provide inspiration and action for positive change in the workplace. Our vision is to be the number one platform of choice for employers and job seekers and to positively contribute towards a society that is free from discrimination will be achieved through clear communication, collaboration and decisive action.
What makes us different from other community platforms and job boards is every employer advertising on the platform is independently verified using a 5 Star Verification process, or 6 Star Verification process for recruitment agencies, to ensure companies are committed towards the areas of diversity and inclusion, environment and sustainability, mental health, wellbeing, leadership and governance, and talent management.
Paul Smith, Founder of Includability, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sipsmith into our Includability Community. It’s great that they were committed to working with our Verification Partners to obtain Includability Committed Employer status. By achieving this, Sipsmith has displayed excellent intentions and transparency. Completing our verification process means they are now part of a growing community of like-minded organisations that will support each other to share best practice, overcome obstacles, empower employees and work collaboratively to create an inclusive culture. I am very excited that we will be taking this journey together.”
