Please do join us for a discussion on the importance of diversity in sports media, both in front of and behind the camera, and what it means for business. This will also include a fascinating practical Q&A session led by our host Jamie Hooper, Founding Director of Inclusive Cultures, across different diversity lenses with leaders in their field.

Date: Thursday 29th July

Time: 12:30PM BST

Jamie is an expert on equality, diversity and inclusion in sport and physical activity and has worked in the sector for 10 years leading on EDI projects and programmes for a number of stakeholders. Previously Jamie has worked at Swim England and Sport England, and more recently has set up his own consultancy, Inclusive Cultures, that he launched to support sector stakeholders to be more inclusive across all that they do, right from the pitch all the way up to the board room. Jamie also sits on the board for the Federation of Gay Games, Sport for Confidence, and the Black Swimming Association, bringing a truly rounded and intersectional approach to inclusion.

We are delighted to be joined by:

  • Liz Johnson – Gold medal winning Paralympian and Co-Founder of The Ability People
  • Emma Smith - Sport Media LGBT member and assistant editor at Goal
  • Drew Christie - Award-winning sports producer and Chair of BCOMS

We look forward to welcoming you!
